Live the folklore and romance of yesterday’s Australia in every piece of the eye-opening collection at Historic Village Herberton, an entire village of shops and stores re-created as they were over 100 years ago. Sit in the old schoolhouse. Stand at the bar of the antique pub. Enjoy a cuppa or a latte in the Bakerville Tearooms.
The award-winning Historic Village Herberton is more than a vintage precinct – it’s a tangible buzz of things past. The collection currently features over 50 original buildings with intact interior displays, original machinery and vehicles, plus thousands of antique items and period memorabilia. It is regarded as the most significant ever assembled in Queensland, and offers unlimited opportunities for amazing photography.
Today, the Village is owned by an Australian couple, Connie and Craig Kimberley, whose passion has restored it to its rightful place in heritage history. Historic Village Herberton is located just outside the township of Herberton high on the Atherton Tablelands, about 90 minutes drive from Cairns. Adults $25 Children $12 Open daily 9am – 5:00pm (Closed Christmas Day) – Last entry 3.30pm
