Writeyourjourney.com facilitates journeys of creative self-discovery through writing, yoga & mindfulness, online and in beautiful locations. I am Kerstin Pilz, a former academic and university lecturer with a PhD in literature. I am also a writer, a recently certified 200 hour yoga teacher, meditation practitioner, world traveller and keen photographer.
Write your Journey is where I share what I know about the healing power of writing and what I have learned about writing, storytelling and the magic of words in 20 years as university lecturer. I believe we can create the lives we want if we open our hearts. We are the authors of our lives and we can craft our own bold second acts. It starts by stepping out of the comfort zone of our heads and into the unknown. It means coming out of our shadow and giving voice to the fire burning in our bellies. The journey from head to heart is the longest journey we will ever take.
Creative self expression is our roadmap to the heart. Unlocking our creative potential means tuning into the voice that speaks from below the surface level of our overthinking analytical minds. And that’s where we’ll meet the self that we really are. When we embrace life in all of its complicated, painful messiness, we will find the story of our soul. Writing the next chapter of our story, is our way home. Yoga and mindfulness keep us centred during the ride.
