Spot the iconic Southern Cassowary patrolling the beach and neighboring rainforest in the early morning or late afternoon. A hidden gem in Queensland’s Tropical North, this magical cove is a unique destination to relax and rejuvenate. Stop in for ice cream, fish & chips, or stay for a while.

Accommodation

Etty Bay Caravan Park & Cabins offers a range of accommodation options, including cabins, caravan sites, and campsites. Choose from:

• Beachfront or garden settings
• Air-conditioned family cabins, with or without ensuites
• Luxury air-conditioned couples cabin with ensuite
• Powered sites with grass or concrete slab
• Unpowered beachfront campsites

Powered, unpowered, and beachfront campsites are suitable for caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, and tents.

Sorry, no pets due to the presence of wild cassowaries.

Amenities

Onsite amenities include coin-operated laundry, hot showers, toilets, and free wifi. There’s public BBQs along the foreshore and a playground for the little ones. Phone and television reception is limited due to the surrounding Moresby Range. Not that you’ll need it.
Etty Bay Surf Life Saving Club patrols the beach on weekends, and stinger nets are rolled out during stinger season. Enjoy swimming, fishing, or simply spend your days relaxing along the shaded beachfront.
Etty Bay Kitchen is on-site, serving fish & chips for lunch and dinner. The General Store also offers a selection of snacks, ice creams, and cold drinks.

Location

Etty Bay is located near Innisfail on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef. We’re just an hour and a half south of Cairns, 3 hours north of Townsville, and a short drive to countless attractions.
